MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The AUM women's volleyball team defeated Lee, 3-2, at the AUM Athletics Complex on Saturday night as the Warhawk seniors were honored pregame.
AUM (10-17, 7-11 Gulf South) finished with 62 digs and 52 kills.
Kendall McCain led the Warhawks with 14 kills.
Lee (16-14, 10-8) hit .149 and was paced by 16 kills from Julia Davis. The Lady Flames had 16 blocks with 59 digs.
Set 1
Cambell Gash picked up a service ace after eight unanswered for AUM and led 16-5.
Maya Thompson added three kills in the first set as well. The Warhawks went on to take the first set 25-16.
Set 2
Lee totaled 11 kills in the second set with four service aces to take it 25-21. The Warhawks hit just .129 in set number two, while the Lady Flames hit .083.
Set 3
Gash racked up another service ace to bring AUM back after being down 18-9. However, the Warhawks weren't able to recover and dropped the set 25-18 to the Lady Flames. AUM had eight kills in set number three.
Set 4
AUM totaled 16 kills in the fourth set while McCain led the way with five. The Warhawks also totaled four service aces to win the set 25-19.
Set 5
The Warhawks started the fifth set with four unanswered points and would go on to win the match and fifth set 15-10.

AUM will hit the road and play Montevallo on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Alabama Huntsville on Saturday at 2 p.m. to close out the regular season.
