CLEVELAND, Miss. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (3-5, 1-2) came up short at Delta state (7-3, 3-1) on Saturday 77-66.
The Warhawks allowed the Lady Statesmen to shoot 56% from the field and 8-15 from behind the arc.
Allasha Dudley led the Warhawks with 15 points along with
Samya Brooks, while
Danielle Luckey added 11 points and 11 rebounds. AMU had four double-figure scorers, including
Andie Flatgard with a season-high 11 points.
AUM led only once in today's game after Dudley's layup to open the game. Delta State would jump out to a 15-5 lead in the first quarter. The Warhawks responded before halftime and trailed by just two, 34-32.
Delta State controlled its lead after a hot third quarter offensively and cruised to victory at home.
AUM will continue the road stretch on Monday, December 16 at Mississippi College.
