MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (3-4, 1-1) was handed its first loss of GSC play at home, 73-57 against No. 13 Lee (7-1, 1-1) on Saturday afternoon.
AUM was handed its first loss of GSC play at home to Lee on Saturday afternoon. The Flames leading defense in the GSC, held the Warhawks to just 39% shooting from the field, while they made 52%.
Danielle Luckey collected 14 points, five rebounds and three blocks to lead AUM.
Samya Brooks also added 12 points for the only two scorers in double-figures.
Lee was led by Mallory Hampton with 23 points on 9-15 shooting. Hampton leads the GSC in total points on the season and builds on her impressive start to the season. The Trojans would outscore the Warhawks 22-12 in the paint.
The first quarter started slow for both teams and was the lowest scoring quarter of the game. Lee held the 14-8 advantage at the end of the first.
The Flames controlled a 15-point lead in the third quarter and headed into the fourth with a comfortable cushion. They increased that lead up to 24 in the fourth quarter for their largest lead of the game.
Luckey added three more blocks to her league leading 16 on the year.
AUM returns to action on Saturday, December 14 at Delta State at 2 p.m. CT.
