JACKSON, Tenn. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team pushed No. 7 Union University to overtime, but came up short 86-79 in a Gulf South Conference classic inside Fred DeLay Gymnasium.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Union jumped out to a 30-10 lead at the 6:58 mark in the second quarter, and the Warhawks closed the half with a 28-6 run that was highlighted by Tian Addison, Allasha Dudley, and Grace O'Gara connecting on three-pointers. Danielle Luckey made back-to-back free throws with 10 seconds left in the half as the Warhawks took a 38-36 lead into halftime.
- Luckey made a layup on the first possession of the second half and extended the AUM lead to 40-36.
- Union responded with a 9-0 run to take a 45-40 lead with 7:29 left in the third quarter.
- The teams traded leads the rest of the third quarter, and Union sank two free throws in the final minute to take a 56-55 lead into the final quarter.
- The Lady Bulldogs grew the lead to 73-65 with 3:20 left in regulation and Brianna Sanchez and Jemeriah Moore brought the score to 73-72 in favor of Union.
- Union made a jumpshot with 19 seconds left in the game, and Dudley connected on a three-pointer in the final seconds of regulation to force overtime.
- The Warhawks were outscored 9-2 in the overtime period as Union came out victoriously 86-79.
NOTABLES
- Addison led AUM with 21 points. She went 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dished out five assists. She added five rebounds.
- Dudley dropped 18 points and went 6-of-22 from the floor.
- Danielle Luckey posted another double-double with 10 points and grabbed 18 rebounds. Her 18 rebounds is a new season-high.
- Moore tallied nine points and nine rebounds. Nevaeh Small scored five points and five rebounds in 12 minutes.
- The Warhawks outrebounded Union 52-36.
- Union's Shanique Lucas scored 32 points.

"We battled with the No. 7 team in the country on the road," head coach
Jon Plefka said. "I am very proud of our overall effort with our short handed team. We fought as hard as we could, but they just made a few more key plays than us at the end unfortunately."
