MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team rallied for a pair of come-from-behind wins against the Mississippi College Choctaws, who are receiving votes in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association Top 25 poll.
The Warhawks trailed 7-4 in game one of the doubleheader before four unanswered runs sealed a win, and AUM added a four-spot in the bottom of the sixth inning in game two of the doubleheader to complete the sweep.

GM 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Mississippi College stormed out to a 3-0 lead after an inning of play.
- Trailing 4-0 in the fourth, Cooper Doughman and Kasey Clark clubbed back-to-back homers to help AUM tie the game.
- Doughman cleared the bases with a three-run bomb, and Clark added a solo shot to make it a 4-4 contest.
- The Choctaws went right back in front 7-4, but AUM scored a run in the fifth and a run in the sixth to pull within a run.
- With the bases full, Zach Dew was plunked by a pitch to tie the game 7-7.
- AUM took the lead moments later when Doughman flared an RBI single into center.
- Mississippi College managed three base runners in the ninth, but a ground ball double play and a line out helped the Warhawks seal the win.
GM 1 ON THE MOUND
- Luke Turner allowed five runs and struck out seven batters in six innings of work.
- Grant Hickman (1-0) picked up the win, as he allowed two hits and worked two innings of scoreless relief.
- Lucas Baggett (2) recorded the final out of the contest to register the save.
GM 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Two first-inning solo homers helped the Choctaws take a 2-0 advantage right away in game two of the day.
- A Brendan York RBI double cut the lead in half, but a sixth-inning solo homer for MC pushed the lead right back to two runs.
- Trailing by a pair in the sixth, the Warhawks plated two runs on a two-out dropped fly ball that tied the game 3-3.
- York then drew a bases-loaded HBP, and Jarren Wright scored on a wild pitch to build a 5-3 lead for the home team.
- MC got two more baserunners with two outs in the seventh, but AUM slammed the door to grab the win.
GM 2 ON THE MOUND
- Payte Williams (1-1) grabbed his first win of the season in the start. He allowed three runs against two walks and a strikeout in 6.2 innings.
- Baggett (3) tallied the save, as he once again recorded the game's final out.
NOTABLES
- Baggett's three saves rank him in a tie for second in the GSC in that category.
- Doughman drove in four runs in game one to expand his team lead in that category (14).
- Clark homered for the second straight day, and Doughman added his team-leading third home run of the campaign.
- Brendan York registered multiple hits in both games of the doubleheader, while Rooks, Doughman, and Tunnell added multi-hit games on the afternoon.
- The Warhawks have played eight games in a row against teams receiving votes in the NCBWA Top 25 poll, and own a 5-3 record in that stretch.

- "We challenged our guys yesterday and they responded in a big way," said head coach Franklin Bush. "We got back to the focus of winning pitches and playing AUM baseball. We have so much to learn from this weekend and that is exciting. We will put our heads down and get back to work.
