MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Seconds after Delta State University recorded the game-tying basket on an offensive rebound,
Deven Tucker corralled a long pass from
Travis Anderson and converted the game-winning layup with less than three seconds to play as the Auburn University at Montgomery men's basketball team snuck past the Statesmen in Gulf South Conference action.
The win marked the third in the last four outings for the Warhawks.

HIGHLIGHTS
- A couple of Sam Youngblood buckets in the opening three minutes of the game helped AUM to an early five-point advantage.
- Delta State ripped off a 29-9 run, including five three-pointers, as the Statesmen took their largest lead of the night, 33-18.
- The Warhawks pulled within seven points on multiple occasions down the stretch of the first half, but that's where DSU kept it as the two teams went to the locker room with Statesmen leading 44-37.
- With DSU 60-54 with 12:21 to play, Jalen Gaston rattled off eight points as part of a 12-3 sprint to put AUM in front 66-63.
- A Deven Tucker dunk with 3:56 to play sent AUM to a 78-75 lead, but two minutes later, Keithan Brooks nailed a three-pointer to tie the game at 80-80.
- Travis Anderson nailed a tough floater in traffic as the Warhawks took an 82-80 lead with 28 seconds left.
- The next time down, Brooks missed a tying jumper for the Statesmen before Derek Moore snared an offensive rebound and tied the game with his put-back layup.
- With the clock ticking under five seconds to play, Anderson flung a long pass up the floor to a streaking Tucker, who laid the ball into the basket with less than three seconds to play to deliver the win for the Warhawks.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Warhawks out-rebounded Delta State 42-30, including a 13-11 advantage on the offensive glass.
- Rhodes posted his second straight 20-point effort, and third of the season, with 21 points. He also added nine rebounds.
- AUM out-muscled DSU in the paint, as the Warhawks outscored the Statesmen 48-20 in the painted area.
- Youngblood tied his season-high 15 points and three three-point field goals.
- Delta State forced 18 turnovers and scored 24 points off those turnovers in the contest.
