Zach Dew drove in five runs each, and the Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team dropped a season-high 16 runs in game one of the doubleheader to secure a Gulf South Conference series win for the fourth consecutive weekend.

GM 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- Tyrese Rooks drew a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch to tie the game in the second inning.
- Kasey Clark immediately followed suite with a bases-clearing single to put AUM up 4-1.
- Shorter made it a one-run game in the home half of the second inning before the Warhawks turned in a five-run third inning.
- Cole McWhorter scored on an error and Zach Dew smashed a grand slam to make it 9-3.
- Dew added an RBI single in the fifth inning and Jarren Wright tacked on an RBI single in the sixth inning.
- Cooper Doughman's two-run homer in the seventh, McWhorter's RBI groundout, and Clark's two-RBI single helped the Warhawks to a season-high 16 runs.
GM 1 ON THE MOUND
- Clay Slagle (2-2) earned his second win of the season. He allowed five runs in 5.1 innings with four strikeouts.
- Clay Weatherly worked 0.2 innings of relief to get the Warhawks through six innings.
- Brett Pitts allowed one run on four hits in 2.0 innings to finish out the game.
GM 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Jackson Ceman dumped a two-RBI single into centerfield to get the scoring started right away in the second game of the day.
- Shorter responded to take a 3-2 lead after two innings.
- Clark hammered a solo home run in the third for the Warhawks to tie the game at 3-3, but the Hawks stole the lead back 4-3 in the home half of the third inning and never looked back en route to the win.
GM 2 ON THE MOUND
NOTABLES
- The Warhawks 16 runs in game one of the doubleheader marked a season-high and is the fourth time this season they scored double-digit runs.
- Doughman homered twice in the series to give him four on the season. Clark also tacked on a solo homer, his fifth of the season, to remain in the team lead in that category.
- AUM's two, three, and four hitters in the lineup combined to drive in 13 of the 20 runs on the day.
- Rooks, Clark, Dew, Wright, and Ceman all registered multi-hit games for the Warhawks. Clark, Dew, and Ceman also put together multi-RBI games.
- Nine different Warhawks scored at least one run in the series.
