MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Ryan Slaten logged another quality midweek start on the mound, but the Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team fell 5-4 in 10 innings to Columbus State University on Tuesday evening at Q.V. Lowe Field.

HIGHLIGHTS
- A first-inning error by the Warahwks pushed Columbus State to a 1-0 lead.
- Columbus State added a sacrifice fly and an RBI single to expand the lead to 3-0 in the sixth.
- The Warhawks immediately answered with a four-spot in the home half of the sixth to take the lead.
- RH Frankland and Tyrese Rooks each clubbed RBI doubles to trim the lead, and AUM took the lead 4-3 on a Kasey Clark two-RBI single through the right side.
- Two solo home runs by the Cougars, one to tie the game in the eighth and another to take the lead in the 10th, helped deliver a win for the visitors.
ON THE MOUNDÂ
- Ryan Slaten logged 6.0 innings and allowed just one earned run. He gave up three total runs and scattered five hits with three strikeouts.
- AJ Crocker allowed a solo home run with a strikeout in two innings of relief.
- Cody Lee also allowed one run in relief and walked one in two frames.Â
NOTABLES
- The Warhawks left 15 runners on base in the loss.
- Hayden Grier went 2-for-5 with two singles, which marked his second multi-hit game. Jackson Ceman (7), Clark (5), and Frankland (3) all also collected multi-hit contests.
- Clark tallied his fourth multi-RBI game, including two in his last three games.
- Slaten did not issue a walk for the second time in his last three starts. He also logged five innings or more for the fifth straight outing and turned in his fourth consecutive start giving up two earned runs or less.Â
