INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team has clinched the No. 7 seed in the NCAA South Regional and will travel to Boca Raton, Florida with the tournament starting on Friday, May 10 until Saturday, May 11.
The Warhawks obtained the program's first Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship with a 4-3 win against the No. 5 seed Mississippi College.
First team All-GSC and top 13 ITA Singles Ranking player
Estefania Garcia has a record of 19-5 over on court one along with a six game winning streak.
Ane Ibarra and Garcia have a duos record of 19-5 while holding No. 16 in ITA Doubles Rankings.
Ana Villalvazo made Second Team All-GSC sporting a 16-4 singles record playing on courts two and three. Villalvazo has a doubles record of 18-4 playing on court three with her doubles partner
Nahia Izco.
Regina Urbiola finished the regular season with a 9-1 overall singles record playing on courts three and four. Urbiola would join Villalvazo in claiming Second Team All-GSC for the Warhawks this season.
The Warhawks will play against No. 2 seed Lynn University on Friday, May 10 in Boca Raton, Florida at Perper Tennis Complex.
