• The Warhawks are the first program to compete in the 2024-25 academic year, taking on Albany State in Albany, Ga. on Thursday at 2 p.m. ET. They will return home to face Clayton State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
• AUM is coming off a 4-12-2 season a year ago, which included a 5-0 win over ASU in Montgomery. The Warhawks hold a 3-1 lead in the head-to-head series with the Golden Rams, including a 4-1 win in 2019 in the only previous visit to the ASU Women's Soccer Complex.
• ASU went 1-14-1 in 2023. The women's soccer program was started in 2017 and is in its seventh season of competition.
• Clayton State went 7-7-3 last year. The Lakers have won the three previous meetings with the Warhawks, including last year's 4-0 win in Morrow, Ga.
• Julianne Herrity enters her fifth season in Montgomery and has 13 returners and nine newcomers on the roster for the 2024 season, which opens Sept. 5 at Albany (Ga.) State.
• A total of five goal scorers return, including senior Laia Gonzalez who finished with three goals and four assists for a team-high 10 points.

• The men's soccer program will also kick off the 2024 campaign on Thursday, playing host to South region foe Saint Leo at the AUM Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 7 p.m. CT. AUM will play Tampa on Saturday at 11 a.m.
• AUM  is coming off a 7-4-6 2023 season in which the squad reaching the GSC Championship semifinals for the third-consecutive season. The Warhawks went 6-3-2 in GSC play, winning at least six games for the fourth-straight fall campaign.
• Sixth-year head coach Matthew Thorne has 12 seniors to lead the 2024 Warhawks, including six of the top eight goal scorers from a year ago.
• SLU was 4-9-4 a year ago with a 2-6-2 mark in the Sunshine State Conference.
• AUM holds a 2-1 series lead with Saint Leo, winning twice on the road and falling in the previous meeting in Montgomery. This is the fourth-consecutive season the teams have squared off to start the season.
• Tampa opens play at West Florida on Thursday before heading north to AUM on Saturday for an 11 a.m. contest.
• The Spartans amassed a 4-5-6 ledger in 2023, including a 4-5-3 effort in SSC action.
• This will be the fifth matchup between the schools but the first away from Tampa. AUM is 1-2-1 against UT. The teams played to a 1-1 draw a year ago.

• AUM opens its eighth season of intercollegiate volleyball with a trip to south Florida for the Barry Invitational. The Warhawks will play Virginia State (11:30 am CT) and Barry (6 pm CT) on Friday and Edward Waters (1:15 pm CT) on Saturday.
• The Warhawks are coming off a strong 2023 season in which they set a program record for wins with a 24-9 overall record, which included a school record for conference wins (16). AUM has turned in a winning season in five of its last six seasons and made the school's first appearance in the NCAA South Region rankings at No. 10 to cap the 2023 season.
• First-year head coach Craig Case has seven returners and four newcomers on the roster for the 2024 campaign, which opens Sept. 6-7 at the Barry Invitational in Miami Shores, Florida. 
• VSU compiled a 10-16 record in 2023. Barry went 11-18 overall and 5-15 in SSC play a year ago. EWU was 22-7 last season.

• The women's squad will travel to Montevallo for the Falcon Classic on Friday evening. The women's 5k race begins at 7:30 p.m.
• The women's team is coming off a 2023 season that saw the Warhawks finish fifth in the GSC Championships before recording a program-record 11th place finish at the NCAA South Region Championships. Head coach Ryan Thompson has seven runners back this season while welcoming four freshmen.
