MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The AUM women's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 victory over West Alabama at the AUM Athletics Complex on Thursday.
AUM (4-6, 1-0 Gulf South) hit a season-high .354 and won its seventh-consecutive over UWA, 25-11, 25-20, 25-22.

Kendall McCain and Maya Thompson were dominant at the net, hitting .569 and .692, respectively with 10 kills apiece.

Savannah Sebek had 16 assists and 10 kills. Her first assist of the night put her at 1,000 in her career, making her just the fourth player in program history to eclipse the benchmark.

Campbell Gash contributed 12 assists in a career-high seven service aces. The Warhawks had 11 winners from the service line, their second-most in a 3-set match this season.

UWA (1-10, 0-2) hit .128 and was led by Jaida Alvin's eight kills.
 
Set 1
AUM never trailed in the set and with the score 7-4, Greta Corrente had a kill and then served for eight-consecutive points, including a pair of aces. Gash had five aces, including three-straight during a 5-0 run that extended the lead to 22-6. The Warhawks hit .563 and finished with 10 kills and seven aces.
 
Set 2
AUM had 14 digs and held UWA to a .094 hitting percentage. The Warhawks erased an early 5-4 deficit with four kills from four different players to grab an 8-5 edge.
 
Set 3 
The Warhawks used a 6-0 run for a 10-1 lead. They had four aces over the course of the first 11 points and never looked back.
