MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (5-9, 3-6) fell to West Florida (11-4, 7-2) 69-59.
The Warhawks were led by
Allasha Dudley with 23 points. Her sixth 20-point game of the season. As a team, AUM shot 37% from the field and 28% from the three.
The Warhawks jumped ahead early after getting some free points in transition off four Argonaut turnovers. West Florida was able to end the first quarter with the lead 15-13 and four made 3-pointers.
At the half, the Warhawks led 29-27 and forced 15 turnovers. Dudley finished the half with 15 points on 6-10 from the field to lead AUM.
A 10-0 run allowed AUM to jump out to a lead in the third quarter. As a team, the Warhawks shot 42% from the field and went into the fourth ahead 44-42.
West Florida went on a run of their own, 9-2 to start the final quarter and would outscore AUM 27-15.
Despite the 30 UWF turnovers, AUM was unable to take advantage and would lose Thursday night 69-59.
AUM will host Valdosta State on Saturday for a 1 p.m. CT tipoff.
