MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (5-7, 3-4) Started off the new year with a 88-69 win over Montevallo (5-7, 3-4).
AUM shot 57% in the game and 6-10 from behind the arc.
Allasha Dudley scored a season-high 31 points and added five steals.
Samya Brooks also contributed 16 points, while
Danielle Luckey added to her league lead in rebounds with 11.
AUM led 18-12 after the first quarter with an 11-0 run.
Andie Flatgard knocked down two three-pointers and the Warhawk defense forced six turnovers.
The Warhawks shot the ball well in the first half and controlled a 39-24 lead headed into halftime. Dudley paced the scoring with 13 points and four steals.
Montevallo opened the second half on a 10-4 run to shorten the AUM lead to single-digits. Dudley scored 12 points in the third quarter and had 25 for the game after three quarters.
The Falcons led for just three minutes of the game as the Warhawks started the new year off with their third conference win on the season.
AUM will return to action on Thursday, January 9 against West Alabama in Livingston, Ala.
