LIVINGSTON, Ala. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (5-8, 3-5) dropped a tight game at West Alabama (2-11, 2-7) 73-70.
Thursday's thriller featured 13 lead changes with the Tigers on top.
Allasha Dudley led the way with 19 points, six assists and six rebounds, while
Danielle Luckey added 16 points and 13 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.
West Alabama's Kendall Locoste posted 32 points against the Warhawks.
A tight first half ended with the game evened at 30 after a late layup from Luckey. She also totaled seven rebounds and two blocks to add to her league lead in both categories. AUM was led in scoring by Dudley in the first half with nine points.
Locoste gave West Alabama the lead in the third quarter with her fourth 3-pointer of the game and her 18
thpoint. The Warhawks controlled a one-point lead headed into the fourth.
AUM jumped out to a five-point lead to start the fourth quarter after
Gabby Litvak knocked down her second 3-pointer of the game. West Alabama's, Locoste answered once again to tie the game at 57 and extend the lead to five points with under five minutes to go in the game. The late deficit was too much for AUM to overcome as they fell on the road 73-70.
AUM will stay on the road and play at Alabama Huntsville on Sunday, January 12 with tipoff set for 2 p.m. CT.
