Two Late Goals Doom Warhawks in Second Half

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's soccer team (8-4-3, GSC: 5-3-2) had its four-match winning streak snapped as Mississippi College Choctaws (10-1-4, GSC: 8-0-2) scored two second-half goals to remain unbeaten in Gulf South Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half

The visiting Choctaws jumped out to the first lead less than five minutes into the match thanks to an own goal by the Warhawks.

AUM was able to fight back to tie the match in the 27th minute as Sean Keane scored his first goal of the season to draw things more.

The Warhawks narrowly outshot the Choctaws 7-6 in the first half, but neither team was able to find the back of the net as the first half ended.

Second Half
AUM stormed out of the locker room with a goal from Robiston Lukau to swipe the lead in the 47th minute.

Both teams traded a handful of shots each in the subsequent minutes looking for a breakthrough, and the Choctaws were the first to find it.

Mississippi College's Lewis Matton's 73rd minute goal tied the match at 2-2.

With a little over five minutes remaining in the match and both sides pressing to find the go-ahead goal, the Choctaws delivered a clutch goal.

An Alvaro Pena goal, assisted by Russel Berko, pushed Mississippi College to a 3-2 lead.

AUM had a pair of chances to score with time winding down, but Benjamin Hoffmann's shot missed left, and Sean O'Donnell's attempt was saved by MC goalkeeper Cole Turner.
