MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks women's basketball team (0-10, GSC: 0-4) lost to the Delta State Statesmen (6-3, GSC: 0-4) 64-48 on Sunday afternoon from the AUM Athletics Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter
The opponents got off to a hot start, scoring the first 14 points of the day.
Tamora Brown made a layup to put the Warhawks on the board, but Delta State would go on to lead 19-7 at the end of the first quarter.

Second Quarter
DSU took the opening basket of the second quarter before AUM added four points to their tally behind a jumper in the paint from Navaeh Small. Over three minutes of scoreless play brought us under the halfway point when Delta State's Madi Kate Vuncannon hit a three to extend their lead to 24-11.

The Warhawks fought hard, but the visitors led 32-16 at the halftime break.

Third Quarter
After the break,
Shelby McAllister found some momentum for AUM as she knocked down a pair of triples.
Andie Flatgard followed with a three of her own to spark an eight point run for AUM which cut their deficit down to 43-30.

Despite the Warhawks 19 points third quarter, the Lady Statesmen led 46-35 heading into the fourth quarter.

Late efforts from
Tamora Brown and
Samya Brooks wouldn't be enough to stop DSU from going on to secure a 64-48 win.

NOTABLES
- Shelby McAllister led the game in scoring with 15 points, all of which came from five three-pointers. She also came down with seven rebounds and added a steal.
- Tamora Brown and Samya Brooks each recorded 11 points.
- Nevaeh Small recorded 10 rebounds, her sixth game with double-figure boards.
- Delta State had four players with double figure points while the team shot 44.4 percent from the field (24-of-54)
