Union surged back just before the end of the first half, sending us to the break with the Warhawks in front 35-24.

Second Half

Over the next three minutes, three different Warhawks scored including a pair of threes from Canery. This gave AUM a 16-point cushion with just over 13 minutes to go.

Another exchange of points pushed the 16-point difference to a score of 58-42 before Ti'Avain Scruggs gave AUM their largest lead of the night at 9:14 when he drilled a three to put AUM up 63-44.

With about nine minutes left on the clock, the Bulldogs began to edge back. They took 16 of the next 21 points behind a pair of triples, cutting AUM's advantage to 65-58.

The home team didn't let up as they scored eight of the next nine points to tie up the score at 66 points apiece.

Union took the lead once, but the Warhawks were able to hold their ground with Martin drawing a foul and hitting both free throws to keep a three-point lead.

The Bulldogs took a last-ditch effort with a three-point attempt as the clock expired, trying to send the game into overtime, but it fell short and AUM walked away with their first GSC win of the season with a 74-71 victory on the road.
