MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The AUM baseball team went back and forth with Trevecca Nazarene in the rubber game of a 3-game series before falling 11-8, in 10 innings at QV Lowe Field on Saturday.

AUM (4-6, 1-2 Gulf South) had 13 hits and had six extra-base hits but were unable to capitalize on a couple of situations with runners in scoring position.

Zach Dew went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI, while hitting his second home run of the season. Tyrese Rooks, Brendan York, Kyle Hipp and Landon Baeder all had two hits for the Warhawks.

Grant Hickman (1-1) tok the loss after allowing three runs on two hits in 1.1 innings.

Nick Judd (1-2) picked up the win for the Trojans (4-5, 2-1), striking out six and allowing two runs on five hits over the final four innings.

With TNU holding a 5-3 lead after five innings, AUM scored three to claim a 6-3 advantage. After Riley Orr reached on an infield error, Hipp and Dew produced consecutive extra base hits to knot it at 5. Dew came home two batters later on a Rooks single up the middle.

An inning later, Orr scored on a Hipp single to left to give the Warhawks a 7-5 edge.

The Trojans tied it with two out in the eighth when Brady Maciak drove in a pair on a single up the middle. They took an 8-7 lead in the ninth after a misplay in the outfield.

Strachan tied the game in the ninth when he led off with a homer to left center. AUM then loaded the bases but were unable to push an eventual winning run across.

Trevecca scored three runs in the 10th to come away with the series win. Luke Dymond hit a lead off home run to secure the victory before the Trojans added a pair of insurance runs.

AUM will next be in action Friday and Saturday at West Alabama. The series at Tartt Field in Livingston begins Friday at 5 p.m. with a 1 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
