This Week in AUM Athletics: FEB. 3-9

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Each week, the Auburn University at Montgomery Office of Athletics Communications previews the upcoming week with “This Week in AUM Athletics.” We've got just one home event as Baseball hosts Georgia Southwestern for a midweek game on Wednesday. First pitch is slatted for 3 p.m. CT so come out to support the Warhawks!

  • AUM women's basketball split the action last week to snap a four-game win streak.
  • The Warhawks sit at 9-11 and 7-8 in GSC.
  • They will travel to Christian Brothers and Union this week.
  • Allasha Dudley continues to lead the league at 18 points per game. 
  • Union stands at the top of the league at 13-1 in conference play and 18-3 overall. 
  • CBU rounds out the bottom of the standings still looking for their first conference win. 
  • The Warhawks are 9-11 and 6-9 on the year.
  • AUM split last week with Delta State and Mississippi College.
  • They will hit the road to face Christian Brothers and Union this week. 
  • CBU is 4-10 in conference play on the year.
  • Union is 7-7 in league play.
  • AUM baseball faced No. 16 Young Harris and fell short in the series.
  • A home midweek game with Georgia Southwestern is next up before hitting the road this weekend to face Southern Wesleyan and Limestone
  • The Warhawks were selected fourth in the GSC preseason poll.
  • Zach Dew and Ryan Slaten Slaten were selected to the preseason All-GSC team.
  • In addition to the 14 returners, AUM also welcome 25 newcomers for the 2025 campaign.
  • AUM softball went 2-1 at the Gulf Shores Invitational and picked up two wins over ranked opponents, No. 9 Rogers state and No. 4 Lenoir Rhyne. 
  • Ranked #6 nationally in NFCA preseason top-25.
  • The Warhawks were selected third in the GSC preseason poll with four first-place votes.
  • AUm will travel to the Embry-Riddle tournament this weekend in Florida and face Embry-Riddle, Newberry and Florida Tech. 
  • Chloe Baynes starts off the season strong and batted .857 with five runs scored and four stolen bases.
  • Freshman, Reese Cauley started her first career game and threw a complete game shutout against No. 4 Lenoir-Rhyne. She totaled eight strikeouts and added three hits and a RBI at the plate. 
  • Rebecca Komers delivered seven RBI offensively for AUM with four of those coming on a grand slam to run-rule No. 9 Rogers State.
  • Men's Tennis will open the regular season at Columbus State on Friday
  • Women's Tennis opens the season on Wednesday at West Alabama.
  • The women's tennis team is ranked at #10 in the ITA rankings.
  • Both teams fell short in an exhibition at Alabama State last week.
