BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gulf South Conference announced its preseason men's basketball awards and coaches' poll Monday afternoon, with the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks picked to finish sixth in the conference and newcomers Justin Holloway, RJ Williams, and Parker Robison named to the Newcomers to Watch List.
 
AUM's sixth-place selection matches its highest ranking in Division II history. The Warhawks were also picked sixth ahead of the 2023-24 season and improved four spots from last year's 10th-place selection.
 
#3 Justin Holloway | Forward | 6-7 | Sophomore | Opelika, AL
Holloway enters his sophomore season after spending his freshman year at NCAA Division I UAB. The 6-foot-7 forward is a native of Opelika, Alabama, and a 2025 graduate of Opelika High School, where he earned recognition on the All-A and All-B Honor Rolls.




#12 RJ Williams | Guard | 5-10 | Sophomore | Snellville, GA
Williams enters the 2026-27 season following a freshman campaign at Young Harris in which he helped the Mountain Lions capture the 2026 Conference Carolinas championship. He appeared in 23 games, making seven starts, and recorded 136 points, 24 rebounds, 28 assists, and 13 steals in 424 minutes. Williams shot 40.0 percent from the field, 32.6 percent from three-point range, and 73.2 percent from the free-throw line.


 
 
#55 Parker Robison | Guard | 5-11 | Junior | Chattanooga, TN
Robison brings two seasons of experience at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he was part of the Mocs' 2025 regular-season conference championship and NIT championship teams. In 2025-26, he appeared in 27 games and averaged 10.7 minutes per contest, finishing with 21 assists, six turnovers, and 12 steals. He also appeared in 24 games during Chattanooga's 2024-25 NIT championship season.
