MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Auburn University at Montgomery Women's Basketball (10-11, 8-8) got back in the win column with a dominant win at Christian Brothers on Thursday.
The Warhawk defense held CBU to just 26% shooting from the field and single digit scoring in the second and fourth quarters.
AUM was led by
Allasha Dudley with 16 points but received help from three other double figure scorers.
The Warhawks jumped out to an eight-point lead early in the second quarter, that exploded into a 16-point lead at the half after holding the Lady Bucs to just nine points in the quarter. Dudley totaled 11 points in the first half on three made threes.
AUM came out hot in the second half as well to increase the lead to 20 after a 6-0 run. The Warhawks forced 17 turnovers on 12 steals. The Lady Bucs would cut it to a 14-point lead after 11 third quarter points from Jada Hood. Hood finished the game with a season-high 30 pints on 6-10 from three.
In the fourth, AUM controlled the clock and lead to pick up the win on the road.
AUM will face Union on Saturday at 2 PM.
