MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Junior libero Taylor Lewis of the Auburn University at Montgomery volleyball team has been selected as the Warhawk of the Week as announced by AUM's Athletic Department on Wednesday, September 24.
 
COACH CASE'S COMMENTS
"I was really impressed with Taylor's performance against Tuskegee. Her diligent preparation and full effort were on full display during that match. Taylor's production, highlighted by digs, assists, and service aces, was crucial to our success."
 
LEWIS' LEAD
Lewis led AUM to their first win of the season last Friday after taking down the Tuskegee Golden Tigers in straight sets. While starting in all three sets, she totaled a team-leading 20 digs, while adding 10 assists to complete the double-double.
On top of her already impressive performance, Lewis landed a trio of service aces, one in each set. Coincidentally, each ace gave the Warhawks their fourth point of the frame and provided an early spark of confidence and momentum in each game.
 
ON THE SEASON
Over eight contests so far this year, Lewis is one of six Warhawks to compete in all 28 sets the team has participated in. She has amassed a team-high of 94 digs (3.36 per set) while holding a .922 receiving percentage. She has also added seven service aces and 26 assists to her efforts.
 
UP NEXT
Lewis and the rest of the Warhawks are back in action on Thursday, Sept. 25 when they will head to Livingston, AL for a battle with the West Alabama Tigers. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Hayes Gymnasium.
