MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team was ranked No. 21 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) preseason poll, as announced by the ITA this morning.
The Warhawks continued fall play at the ITA South Regional Championships in Pensacola, where Yakup Pour advanced to the round of 32 in singles and teamed with Yonezawa for a doubles win to reach the round of 16.
The fall season concluded at the Gulf South Conference Fall Tournament, where Yakup Pour made an impressive run to the championship match, earning three straight-set victories before finishing as the tournament runner-up. Several other Warhawks collected opening-round wins in both singles and doubles.
With a productive fall slate in the books, AUM enters the spring season with momentum and national recognition ahead of conference play.
