VALDOSTA, Ga. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's basketball team (2-15; GSC: 2-9) was defeated by Valdosta State University (9-8, (6–5), Saturday afternoon at The Complex.
First Quarter
The Warhawks opened the game strong against Valdosta State, jumping ahead early behind a balanced offensive attack. Junior Keziah Seay knocked down a three-pointer to open the scoring, followed by a two-point bucket from Tamora Brown. Samya Brooks scored the next four points for the Warhawks before Andie Flatgard added a layup to keep the momentum going. Brooks later converted two more points to extend AUM's lead to 18–11, and Brown closed the quarter with a basket as the Warhawks took a 20–13 advantage after one.
AUM shot an efficient 50 percent from the field in the opening frame while controlling the glass, out-rebounding Valdosta State 15–5 and scoring nine second-chance points to help maintain the early lead.
Second Quarter
The women continued to build their lead heading into the second frame. Flatgard opened with a three-pointer off an assist from Brown, her fourth of the game. Jaden Toney followed by drawing a foul and knocking down both free throws at the line. Flatgard later connected on a deep three to keep the momentum going, and Brown beat the shot-clock buzzer with a layup to push AUM's advantage to 30–21. Flatgard's three marked her 15th of the season, as she went a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the first half. Nevaeh Small added her first points of the game with a layup before Brooks scored her 10th point on a layup and then capped the half with a jumper, sending the Warhawks into the break with a 39–29 lead.
Third Quarter
Brown accounted for four of AUM's points, including two from the free-throw line, while Brooks added three at the line as well. Brown closed the quarter with a jumper, but Valdosta State outscored the Warhawks 24–9 in the period, making a strong comeback. AUM collected 11 rebounds in the quarter.
Fourth Quarter
The final quarter opened with a free throw and a jumper from Brown, tying the game at 53–53. After Valdosta State answered, Brown connected on a floating jumper to knot the score again at 55–55. Valdosta regained the lead with a layup, but Seay responded to tie it at 57–57. Seay then gave the Warhawks their final lead, finishing an assist from Flatgard to make it 59–57. Brown added her 21st point of the game at the free-throw line, but Valdosta State pulled away late, building a 68–60 lead with under three minutes remaining. Small scored on a layup and Flatgard knocked down a three, but AUM fell 74–65.

Tamora Brown led the Warhawks with 21 points, adding a season-high five assists while logging 37 minutes on the court.

Andie Flatgard led the Warhawks with 38 minutes on the court and knocked down 4-of-5 three-pointers, going a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the first half.
AUM shot 39.7% from the field and 66.7% from the free-throw line.
The Warhawks dominated the glass, totaling 46 rebounds, including 12 on the offense.
AUM scored 26 points in the paint and the bench scored 8 points.
