Box Score DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's tennis team (1-3) dropped Monday's road test to the No. 10 North Georgia Nighthawks (4-0) with a final score of 6-1. UNG was ranked No. 10 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) preseason poll.
Doubles
Jami Savolainen and
Guillermo Vedia Sanchez paired up at the No. 1 doubles position and defeated North Georgia's Janos Varga and Joao Luis Silva 6-2.

Unfortunately for AUM, UNG was able to take wins at the No. 2 and 3 spots to claim the doubles point.

Singles
The Nighthawks won its first four singles matches in straight sets at the No. 5, 6, 1, and 4 slots, respectively.Â

Savolainen put up a solid fight at the No. 2 position, however, North Georgia's Silva walked away with a 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 victory.

As the last match left to play, Vedia Sanchez took down the Nighthawks' Varga 6-2, 7-6 (10-8) at the No. 3 spot to earn the Warhawks a point.
