TYLER, Texas -Â The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's tennis team (2-6) fell just short to the No. 24 Midwestern State Mustangs (4-2) with a final score of 4-3 on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles
The Mustangs earned the first doubles win at the No. 2 position before
Giuseppe Bonaiuti and
Jami Savolainen evened the odds by defeating the No. 11 ranked tandem of Juan Duque and Bruno Sanchez 6-4 at the No. 1 doubles slot.

Harry McDonagh and
Mark Nawa claimed the doubles point for the orange and black with a 6-3 victory over MSU's Cesar Llamas and Jose Marquez.

Singles
The No. 7 ranked Germano Setti earned the first singles win at the No. 1 position for the Mustangs, however,
Lucas Rosvall took down MSU's Marquez 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 3 spot to keep AUM ahead 2-1.

The opponents were able to win the next three singles battles, at the No. 4, 2, and 5 positions, respectively, overtaking AUM, 4-2.

Despite
Daniel Margoulis' 5-7, 7-6 (7-5), 10-8 comeback victory over MSU's Llamas, the Mustangs would walk away with a 4-3 edge over the Warhawks.
