MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team (3-4) split Saturday's doubleheader against Southern Wesleyan University (2-3) at the AUM Baseball Complex, falling 13–3 in the opener before rebounding with a 12–2 victory in the second game. Both contests concluded after seven innings.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One; AUM 3; SWU 13
Southern Wesleyan took an early lead in the top of the first inning, scoring three runs on an RBI groundout by Cole Kirschner, a solo home run from Ethan Shimmel, and an RBI single from Ethan Jarvis to go up 3–0. AUM responded in the bottom half of the inning, plating two runs on a throwing error and an RBI single by Tucker Burns to cut the deficit to 3–2.
The Warriors added to their lead in the second inning, extending the advantage to 4–2. After a scoreless third and fourth inning for both teams, Southern Wesleyan broke the game open in the fifth inning, scoring six runs to push the lead to 10–2.
AUM added a run in the bottom of the fifth as Christopher McNeill singled to shortstop, driving in Camden Suggs to make it 10–3. Southern Wesleyan continued to apply pressure in the sixth inning, scoring three more runs on an RBI single to extend the lead to 13–3.
AUM was held scoreless over the final two innings, as Southern Wesleyan closed out the contest after seven innings.
Notables

Cannon Miller finished 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

Game Two; AUM 12; YHC: 2
The Warhawks' offense got rolling in the third inning when McNeill doubled home Kiebler, followed by a two-run double from Miller that scored McNeill and Brice Ainsworth to give AUM a 3–0 lead.
AUM added three more runs in the fifth inning as Hipp drove in a run after being hit by a pitch, while Kiebler doubled home two more runs and Ainsworth added a two-RBI double to extend the lead to 9–1. Southern Wesleyan added a run in the top of the fifth when left fielder Nolan Evatt scored, but the Warhawks maintained control of the game.
McNeill capped the scoring in the bottom of the seventh with a three-run home run, bringing the final score to 12–2 as him, Dom Regira, and Kiebler scored in a walk off fashion.
