MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Sophomore pitcher
Reese Cauley of the Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks softball team has been named the Gulf South Conference Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league's office on Tuesday morning.
A SHUTOUT WEEK
Cauley delivered a dominant week in the circle, tossing 21.0 scoreless innings while recording three complete-game shutouts. Cauley blanked Spring Hill once and Mississippi College twice during the stretch, helping lead the Warhawks to key victories. Across her three appearances, she totaled 10 strikeouts and allowed no more than six hits in any outing. Over the 21.0 innings, she limited opponents to a .189 batting average while issuing just three walks. The strong performances improved Cauley to 10-1 on the season.
GULF SOUTH CAULEY
Cauley has been one of the top pitchers in the Gulf South Conference this season. She ranks second in the league with a 1.60 ERA and also sits in second with a .198 opponent batting average. The right-hander is tied for third in the conference with 10 wins and tied for eighth with 45 strikeouts while allowing just 16 runs, the second-fewest in the GSC.

Cauley and the rest of the Warhawks are back in action later today with a midweek doubleheader against Georgia Southwestern with a 2 p.m. first pitch at the AUM Softball Complex.
