CLEVELAND, Tenn. – The No. 29 Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks men's tennis team (7-10, GSC: 4-3) dropped a hard-fought match to the No. 12 Lee Flames (11-1, GSC: 6-1) in a nationally ranked battle on the road on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles
The Warhawks opened the match strong behind a doubles victory from
Guillermo Vedia Sanchez and
Mark Nawa over Lee's Rytis Razminas and Francisco Guimaraes at the No. 3 position.
Giuseppe Bonaiuti and
Jami Savolainen clutched a 6-4 win over the Flames' Quinn Groenendijk and Jip Langerhuizen at the top doubles spot to earn the doubles point and put the Warhawks ahead 1-0.

Singles
Despite Vedia Sanchez's close match at the No. 3 singles position, the home team was able to sweep all six singles courts, closing out the match with a 6-1 win.

UP NEXT
The Warhawks will close out its regular season slate in Montgomery with a match against Montevallo on Friday, April 17 at 1 p.m. This match will feature a special senior day ceremony for both the men's and women's tennis teams.
