MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The No. 36 Auburn University at Montgomery men's tennis team (8-10, GSC: 5-3) closed out its regular season with a dominant 7-0 sweep of the Montevallo Falcons (4-10, GSC: 1-7) on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Doubles
Guillermo Vedia Sanchez and
Raphael Pertusier opened doubles play with a 6-2 victory over Montevallo's Samuel Maia and Luiz Gobbi at the No. 2 position.
Giuseppe Bonaiuti and
Jami Savolainen followed with a 6-2 win over the Falcon's at the top doubles spot to claim the first point of the match for the Warhawks.

Lucas Rosvall and
Harry McDonagh were winning 5-3 when their No. 3 match was left unfinished.

Singles
Vedia Sanchez was the first off the singles courts with his 6-2, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 position over UM's Leonidas Lazarides. McDonagh earned the next victory over Montevallo's Edgar Dufresne at the No. 4 spot, 6-1, 6-0.

With AUM leading 3-0, No. 67 Savolainen picked up a match-clinching 6-2, 6-4 win over the Falcons' Guilherme Gracioli at the No. 2 slot.

At the top singles position, No. 65 Bonaiuti downed Montevallo's Christian Bacher 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
Augustin Wallaert closed out his home season with a 6-2, 3-6, 10-0 win over the Falcon's Luiz Gobbi at the No. 5 position.

Lucas Rosvall secured the sweep for the Warhawks with his 6-4, 6-0 win over Montevallo's Simon Luigs at the No. 6 position.
