MONTGOMERY, Ala. – For the third time this year, sophomore pitcher
Reese Cauley of the No. 6 Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks softball team has been named the Gulf South Conference (GSC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Cauley Delivers All Week Long
Cauley logged 21.0 innings across three complete games last week, leading AUM to wins over Middle Georgia State and Union. She recorded 25 strikeouts while issuing just two walks and allowed only one run on eight hits.

Cauley also tossed a pair of complete-game shutouts in games one and three of the series against the Bulldogs.

One of her most impressive outings came in game one against Union, where she tossed a 7.0-inning shutout, striking out nine and allowing just four hits.
Season-Long Dominance
So far this season, Cauley has compiled a 1.50 ERA with an impressive 22-1 record. Over 154.0 innings in the circle, the sophomore has allowed just 33 earned runs on 105 hits. She ranks third in the GSC with 128 strikeouts, second in opponent batting average (.189), and leads the conference with 22 wins and a 1.50 ERA, which ranks 20th nationally.

Cauley has recorded 13 games where she has allowed four or less hits. She has yet to allow more than five earned runs in a single game while holding opponents to three or less runs in 20 performances.
