MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Junior outfielder Olivia Watkins of the Auburn University at Montgomery softball team has been named Warhawk of the Week, as announced by the AUM Athletics Department, Wednesday morning.  

Watkin's Week  
Olivia Watkins delivered an outstanding week at the plate, providing a steady and high-impact presence throughout a 4-1 stretch for the Warhawks, including a series win over the Union Bulldogs.  

Watkins hit an impressive .643 over five games, going 9-for-14 with two doubles, two RBI, two runs scored, and a .786 slugging percentage. She also posted a .667 on-base percentage, reaching base consistently and recording a hit in all five contests. Watkins was especially dominant in the Union (TN) series, going 8-for-9 across four games against the Bulldogs while helping AUM secure two wins in the weekend set. 

She opened the week with a strong showing on the road at Middle Georgia, picking up a hit in the first game of the double header. Against Union, Watkins turned in multiple multi-hit performances, including a 3-for-3 effort in AUM's 2-0 win. In the series finale, she added a double and an RBI. 

Watkins was also productive in key situations throughout the week, finishing 3-for-4 with runners on base. 

Season Shapshot 
Over the course of the 2026 season, Olivia Watkins has established herself as one of the most consistent and productive hitters in the Warhawks' lineup. 

Watkins is batting .406 on the year, appearing in 36 games while totaling 43 hits in 106 at-bats. She has produced 22 RBI, 21 runs scored, 10 doubles, one triple, and four home runs. Her .632 slugging percentage and .471 on-base percentage reflect her ability to impact games in multiple ways, while also drawing 11 walks and striking out just nine times across the season. 

Defensively, Watkins has also provided versatility, seeing time at both designated player and in the field while maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage with no errors on the year. 

Watkins has been a steady force in the lineup for the Warhawks.

Watkins and the rest of AUM softball will be back on Friday, April 17, to play a double header against Delta State at the AUM Softball Complex with first pitch set for 1 pm.
