DICKSON, Tenn. - The Auburn University at Montgomery women's golf team made its first appearance at the Gulf South Conference Championship Tournament at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tennessee. 

As a team, the Warhawks closed out the day in 8th place overall with a first round total of 333 (+45). The opening round leader on the team side was No. 26 University of West Florida, carding a 290 (+2). On the individual  leaderboard, UWF teammates Millie Thompson and Isabela Urruchua shared the top spot after each posting a 70 (-2).

RESULTS

• Ashley Nelson paced the Warhawks with a 78 (+6), finishing round one tied for 16th.
• Aubrie Medford and Georgia Cater followed, each carding an 84 (+12) to sit tied for 32nd after the opening round.
• Kyleigh Gibson shot an 87 (+15) to finish tied for 35th.
• Hailey Westmoreland completed the lineup with a 90 (+18) to finish 43rd.

UP NEXT
The GSC tournament continues with round two scheduled for April 21 at 7:30 AM.
