TUSKEGEE, Ala. - The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks women's soccer team (1-0-2) controlled the match from start to finish but ultimately settled for a 0-0 draw against the Tuskegee Golden Tigers (0-1-1) on Wednesday evening at Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
AUM controlled the opening half, creating several opportunities while keeping Tuskegee off the scoresheet. The Warhawks registered 12 shots, including three on goal, and earned four corner kicks, while the Golden Tigers were held without a shot through the first 45 minutes of the game.
GSC Freshman of the Week Eva Hendriks and Izzy Morley each put shots on goal that were saved by the Tuskegee goalkeeper. Both teams went into the break tied 0-0.
Second Half
The Warhawks continued to pressure the Golden Tigers coming out of the break, creating several scoring opportunities while Tuskegee remained limited offensively. AUM recorded 12 shots in the second half, putting seven on goal, while the Golden Tigers managed just two shots.
Lily Hillegas nearly broke the tie in the 63rd minute when her shot struck the crossbar. Hendriks also generated multiple opportunities throughout the half, forcing Tuskegee goalkeeper to make five saves. Despite AUM's continued offensive pressure, the Golden Tigers' defense kept the Warhawks off the scoreboard as the match remained scoreless through 90 minutes.

Leslie Azouer recorded her first clean sheet of the season, as Tuskegee did not put a single shot on goal.
