Warhawks Fall to West Alabama in Livingston

LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Auburn University at Montgomery Warhawks volleyball team (2-12, GSC: 0-4) fell 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-18) to the University of West Alabama Tigers (15-1, GSC: 3-0) Friday evening in Gulf South Conference action at Pruitt Hall.
 
SET 1
AUM trailed 9-5 early before battling back to take an 11-9 lead. The six-point run was made possible by three kills from Chelsea Daffin, one from Gabriella Wokatsch, and a block by Autumn Harper and Daffin. Not long after, West Alabama responded with a 6-0 run of its own and pulled away to take the opening set 25-16.
 
SET 2
The Tigers controlled the second set from the start, building a 13-5 lead before closing out the set 25-12.
 
SET 3
AUM stayed close early and tied the set at 7-7, but West Alabama answered with another run and maintained control throughout the remainder of the set, winning 25-18.
 
UP NEXT
The Warhawks head to Clinton, Mississippi for a road battle with the Mississippi Christian Choctaws on Saturday, September 26 at 2 p.m.
