2020-21 [Junior]: Started all eight games for the Warhawks during the 2020-21 season and was tied for the team lead with 30 sets played… led the Warhawks with 338 assists and led the Gulf South Conference in assists per set with 11.27 during the regular season… had four 40-plus assists games including two 50-plus assist games… had a season-high 52 assists on March 6 against West Georgia… led the Warhawks in service aces with 12 and now has the program record in service aces with 60.

2019 [Sophomore]: Totaled a team-leading 122 appearances in her first season at AUM… set four single-season records in her first year wearing the Orange & Black, and two all-time marks… set the single-season record for assists/set (9.67), service aces (48), service aces/set (0.39), and assists (1190)… her 1190 assists led the Warhawks in 2019 and was good enough for second in the Gulf South Conference… she tied the all-time record for service aces (48) and totaled a 9.67 assists/set mark for her career which is tops in program history… netted a season-high 58 assists on September 27 against West Alabama, including a 54-assist performance in the first round of the GSC Championships against Valdosta State.

Prior to AUM: Attended Lynn University in Boca Raton, Fla., where she also played under head coach Flavia Siqueira… in her freshman year she played in all 30 matches for the Fighting Knights making 24 starts… she was named the Sunshine State Conference Setter of the Week for the first week of 2018, tallying 50-plus assists in three out of four matches… Nicolai was also named to the All-Tournament team at the 11th annual Nova Southeastern Shark Invitational.

Prep: Played in her hometown of Belo Horizante, Brazil… she earned Best Setter at the Copa Sogina in 2016 and the Copa Minas in 2018… she also earned most valuable player honors at the Copa Mackenzie and the Copa Minas in 2016 playing for the Minas Tenis Clube in Belo Horizonte.
