MONTGOMERY, Ala. – A new era begins for the Auburn Montgomery baseball team this weekend, as the Warhawks host the University of Alabama in Huntsville in the program's first Gulf South Conference game on Friday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m., with the weekend series continuing on Saturday in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. Prior to the inaugural GSC series, AUM treks to Albany, Ga. for a midweek road tilt at Albany State on Thursday, Feb. 22 at 3 p.m.

About the Warhawks
AUM (6-2) heads into the four games in three-day stretch on a three-game winning streak, most recently outlasting Tuskegee 10-8 on Saturday, Feb. 17.
 
Offensively, Auburn Montgomery is hitting .269 (71-264) with a .409 slugging percentage off the strength of 14 doubles, one triple and seven home runs while posting 35 RBI. Senior infielder Nathan Langley leads AUM, and the Gulf South Conference, with a .538 batting average and .676 on base percentage while tying for the most walks with 11. Sophomore outfielder Hayden Friesen, senior catcher Parker Moman, senior first baseman Curtiss Johnson, sophomore catcher Kyle Khoury and junior outfielder Josh Flowers all hit over .300 with marks of .500, .444, .318, .318, .313, and .310, respectively, while Langley boasts a team-leading 14 total hits and five doubles, tied for the second-most in the league, with Khoury posting the lone triple and seven Warhawks hitting one home run.
 
On the mound, AUM sports a 3.80 ERA while tallying 47 strikeouts with 21 walks in 68.2 innings of work to date. Redshirt sophomore right-handed pitcher Hank Scott logs a team-high 18.0 innings with a team-best 15 strikeouts and two victories to go with a 1.50 ERA. Junior southpaw Ryan Burkett has made a team-leading four mound appearances while Langley, junior right-handed pitcher Brett Lightsey and freshman righty Sam Steigert all have one save.
 
About the Golden Rams
Albany State (4-5) plays its second midweek contest of the week after besting Georgia Southwestern State 7-4 on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
 
The Golden Rams are hitting .265 (83-313) as a team with a .339 slugging percentage coming from 14 doubles and three home runs while tallying 43 RBI. Rillani Familia sparks ASU's offense with a .441 batting average, 15 hits, five doubles, two home runs, 13 RBI and a .765 slugging percentage.
 
On the mound, Albany State has a team ERA of 7.60 with 47 strikeouts and 45 walks in 77.0 innings. Roman Oliu and Tristan Rice both have two starts for the Golden Rams, with Tyler Wilcher logging a team-leading 14.2 innings on the mound with all three posting one victory. Jack Stamper leads three Chargers hitting over .300 with a .389 average while former GSC Baseball Player of the Week AJ Walden blasts a team-leading 13 RBI, nine hits and two home runs while Nolan Ramsey has both UAH's triples.
 
On the mound, UAH has a team ERA of 4.50 with 35 strikeouts and 11 walks in 50.0 innings. Hunter Hood has a team-high three starts, while Jake Bracewell throws a team-leading nine strikeouts in a team-high 10.1 innings of work. Bracewell, Brooks Brophy and Riley Camp all have one win on the season, with Dylan Murphy has their lone save with a 0.00 ERA in 5.1 innings over three relief appearances.
