MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Auburn Montgomery women's tennis team earned an 8-1 victory over Gulf South Conference foe Shorter University on Wednesday afternoon at the AUM Tennis Complex.
 
MATCH NOTES
• AUM improves to 2-1 overall this season and 2-0 in GSC play.
• Shorter drops to 2-2 on the year and 0-1 in league action.

• No. 1 Doubles – Alejandra Gil and Sofia Navarro (AUM) defeated Aleksandra Durzynski and Melinda Chrun (SU) 8-0.
• No. 2 Doubles – Alba De la Torre and Julia Enderink (AUM) defeated Anastasia Jovivic and Martina Radinovic (SU) 8-4.
• No. 3 Doubles – Sofia Mustre and Tonja Foessmeier (AUM) defeated Victoria Overby and Emily Duggan (SU) 8-0.
• No. 1 Singles – Durzynski (SU) defeated Navarro (AUM) 6-4, 6-3.
• No. 2 Singles – Foessmeier (AUM) defeated Chrun (SU) 6-1, 6-3.
• No. 3 Singles – Gil (AUM) defeated Jovicic (SU) 6-1, 6-2.
• No. 4 Singles – Mustre (AUM) defeated Radinovic (SU) 7-6, 6-1.
• No. 5 Singles – De La Torre (AUM) defeated Overby (SU) 6-1, 6-0.
• No. 6 Singles – Enderink (AUM) defeated Duggan (SU) 6-0, 6-0.

UP NEXT
The Warhawks will begin the first of three matches away from the friendly confines of the AUM Tennis Complex when they travel to Livingston, Ala., to take on GSC opponent West Alabama in a dual match set for 11 a.m. on Friday morning.
