HOW IT HAPPENED
• Pinholster put AUM up 1-0 in the bottom of the first when she hit a single to left field which allowed the speedy Olivia Aycock to score from second.
• The Warhawks put a crooked number up on the scoreboard in the second inning, plating five runs in the frame. Kendall Tucker laid down a sacrifice bunt that plated Jasmine Thompson from third, followed by Hannah Dailey scoring on a wild pitch with the bases loaded. Pinholster then drove in one RBI on a bunt single to third which scored Aycock from third, while also allowing Jaycie Walker to score from second when TC's first baseman was caught off guard by Walker's dash for home after Pinholster's bunt single. Pinholster stole second and then was brought home by a Duschell slap single up the middle to put AUM up 6-0.
• Thompson drew a walk to start the third, then stole second to get into scoring position. Burns then hit an infield single that got Thompson to third, followed by a throwing error by the Tornadoes' shortstop which allowed Thompson to score and Burns to advance to second. With two on and one out, Pinholster hit a double off the left field wall to clear the bases and give the home team a 9-0 advantage.
• AUM added one more in the bottom of the fourth, scoring on a fielding error with runners at second and third to go up 10-0.
