MONTGOMERY, Ala. --- The Auburn Montgomery baseball team will put a bow on their 2019 campaign this week, with a home midweek matchup against Albany State on Tuesday, April 23, and a three-game Gulf South Conference series against Lee University on Friday, April 26 through Saturday, April 27.

The Warhawks trail Lee in their all-time series, 15-26, while they hold a 4-1 advantage over Albany State. AUM bested Albany State 1-0 in their last meeting earlier in the season, on Feb. 26 in Albany, Ga.
The Warhawks will recognize their 15 seniors that make up their 2019 senior class on Saturday, April 27, as part of Senior Day festivities.
ABOUT THE WARHAWKS
AUM (24-21, 12-14 GSC) heads into their final week of the 2019 season winners of four of their last five games, including a two-game split at Christian Brothers University in GSC action their last time out.
The Warhawks unofficially rank among the top five teams in the conference, with a .283 team batting average heading into the final week of regular-season play. The Orange and Black also rank second in the GSC in runs scored (293) and runs driven in (255), while ranking third in total hits (411).
Dalton Cobb (.335),
Zach Feaster (.331),
Matthew Zielonko (.316) and
Grayson Blackwell (.308) all account for qualified Warhawks hitting above the .300 mark on the season.
Cobb leads the Orange and black in a multitude of offensive categories, including batting average (.335), home runs (8), base hits (52), extra-base hits (23), slugging percentage (.600), on-base percentage (.447) and OPS (1.047). The junior infielder/outfielder unofficially ranks tied for fifth in both home runs and doubles (13) in the conference, while also finding himself among the top 10 in the conference in both base hits and slugging percentage.
Zielonko currently sits fourth unofficially in the Gulf South in RBI (44), while leading the AUM attack with 16 multi-RBI games.
Quinterrious Arrington ranks second in the GSC in both runs scored (44) and stolen bases (32), while leading the Orange and Black with 15 multi-hit efforts.
On the mound for the Warhawks,
Josh Flowers leads the way with four wins on the season, to go along with a 3.80 earned run average over 42.2 innings of action. The senior right-hander has tossed a complete-game victory for AUM in each of his last two starts.
Harrison Morris boasts a team-low 2.89 ERA, while
Troy Jones has struck out a team-high 67 batters over a staff-best 63 innings of labor.
Todd Burkett unofficially leads the GSC with six saves, and is holding opponents to just a .224 batting average over a team-high 21 appearances this season.
