MONTGOMERY, Ala. –The Auburn University at Montgomery Department of Athletics has named Daniel O'Bryant its Head Athletic Trainer, as part of a partnership with ProImpact in an ongoing effort to provide quality sports medicine services to AUM student-athletes. It was announced by Senior Director of Athletics
Jessie Rosa on Friday (June 26).
"We are excited about the expansion of our ProImpact partnership, with the appointment of Daniel as our Head Athletic Trainer," Rosa said. "His familiarity with the Montgomery community, health care providers in our locale and extensive experience in collegiate athletics will only enhance our ability to serve our student-athletes. Additionally, as an established healthcare provider within the River Region, ProImpact will continue to play a critical piece in the health & well-being of our student-athletes."
O'Bryant comes to AUM from Huntingdon College, where he served as Associate Head Athletic Trainer through ProImpact since the fall of 2019. O'Bryant held the title of Assistant Athletic Trainer at Huntingdon from the fall of 2016 through the spring of 2019.
"I'm excited to start this new journey with the athletes and staff at AUM," O'Bryant said. "I look forward to the partnership between Auburn University at Montgomery and ProImpact Physical Therapy, and the opportunity to provide athletic training care to student-athletes at AUM.
Prior to his arrival at Huntingdon, O'Bryant worked as a graduate assistant at the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Ala. While at West Alabama, O'Bryant was responsible for providing athletic training services for a high school outreach program, among other duties.
O'Bryant received his Master of Arts in Teaching and Physical Education from West Alabama in 2016, and his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from West Alabama in 2014.
O'Bryant has been a board certified Athletic Trainer and licensed to practice athletic training in the state of Alabama since 2014.
A native of Thomasville, Ala., O'Bryant is married to the former Hailey Harvell. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Brooklyn and Riley Kate, and have two dogs, Max and Bentley.
ProImpact is a locally owned and privately managed physical therapy practice, based in Montgomery, Ala.
