2022 NCAA SOUTH REGION CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
LAKELAND, Fla. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's cross country team put the finishing touches on a successful 2022 campaign on at the NCAA Division II South Region Championships on Saturday morning at Holloway Park.
Freshman Kenlie Nelson once again was the lead finisher for a young Warhawks squad, closing the race with a 6K time of 23:34 to move into sixth place on the AUM all-time 6K performance list.

SCORING FIVE
- Nelson put together another team-leading effort with a time of 23:34.
- Nicole Luther was the second Warhawk to cross the finish line as she posted a 24:16.4 6K time.
- Senior Isabella Gyori came up with a third-place team finish, in 24:24.1, to bolster the Warhawks.
- Freshman Abagail Little came up with a time of 24:57.2 as she finished off a strong debut season.
- Haley Coleman Hughes was the fifth and final scoring runner for the black and orange as she turned in a race time of 25:08.8.
NOTABLES
- Nelson now ranks in sixth place on the AUM all-time 6K performance list with her time of 23:34 in today's regional race.
- Luther's time was good enough to move her into seventh place on the Warhawks' career-best 6K list.
- Gyori replaces herself on the 6K performance list for the Warhawks, moving from ninth to eighth in school history in the event.
- Little sits narrowly outside the Top 10 all-time on the 6K list for AUM after her initial collegiate season of competition.
