Jackson Ceman each knocked a team-high three hits, with Beaver driving in a pair and Ceman scoring twice.
Kasey Clark and

AUM jumped on the Argos early, compiling three runs on four hits in the first inning. RBI singles from Clark and Dew, combined with an RBI fielder's choice from
Clayton Phillips, accounted for the damage done in the frame.
After conceding a run in the bottom of the first to the Argos on a solo home run, the Warhawks would get that run back in the top of the fourth on an RBI double from Beaver to left field. A pair of walks from Dew and Syer to start the inning helped set up the RBI opportunity for Beaver.
AUM broke the game open in the top of the fourth, when Syer slugged his team-leading fifth home run of 2022 to put the Warhawks up 7-1. A two-out UWF fielding error, followed by a base hit by Dew to left, helped set up the chance for Syer.
The Argos answered back with a run in the fourth on an RBI infield hit, but AUM would go on to add two more runs in the fifth via an RBI fielder's choice from
Nick Freeman and an infield hit by Ceman to go up 9-2.
UWF refused to throw in the towel, however, answering with a pair of runs in the seventh with an RBI single to left and scoring on a wild pitch to trim the Warhawks' lead to 9-4.
The Warhawks scored the game's final three runs, including a pair in the eighth on an RBI sac fly by Feaster and an Argo fielding error to go up 11-4. Syer delivered the dagger in the ninth with an RBI knock to left that brought home Dew.
GAME TWO
Joseph Hartsfield,
Jake Spivey, and Beaver all knocked a team-high two hits, with Hartsfield driving in a run. Dew added a hit and an RBI.
Luke Turner (4-1) suffered his first loss of 2022, giving up eight runs over 2.1 innings.
Jake Chase tossed two innings of scoreless relief while
Cole Kehoe and
Will Collins both made relief appearances for AUM.
The Warhawks tallied the game's first run in inning number one, when Dew brought home Ceman with an RBI double to left.
From there, the Argos would go on to score 11 unanswered runs, highlighted by a four-run second inning and a six-run third inning.
AUM fought back with three runs in the sixth, taking advantage of a pair of UWF wild pitches and an RBI infield hit by Hartsfield to trim its deficit to 11-4. The Argos tallied one more run in the bottom of the sixth before giving way to the 12-4 final.
