MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Day one of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's South Region tournament saw Estefania Garcia and Melissa Yakup Pour reach the doubles round of 16, while Nahia Izco and Ane Ibarra moved into the consolation quarterfinals for the Auburn University at Montgomery women's tennis team.

FIRST SERVE - DOUBLES
- Garcia and Yakup Pour def. Turro/Ozzor (Montevallo) 8-2 to advance into the doubles round of 16.
- Cabero Del Hierro/Blanco Fernandez De Leceta (Embry-Riddle) def. Garcia/Yakup Pour 8-2 in the round of 16.
- Izco and Ibarra fell in their first doubles match to Alas/Cota (Mississippi College) 8-7 before fighting back in the consolation bracket.
- Izco and Ibarra won their consolation round of 16 match against Pepe/Caride (Delta State) 8-3 to move into the consolation quarterfinals on Saturday.
FIRST SERVE - SINGLES
- Garcia fell to Wira Hadipoernomo (Embry-Riddle) 6-3, 6-2 to move into the consolation bracket of women's singles, where she will play Saturday.
- Yakup Pour def. Barron 6-1, 6-1 to move into the singles round of 32 on Saturday.
- Regina Urbiola fell to Kristin Younes 6-1, 6-2, and is set to appear in the consolation round of 32 on Saturday.
- Ana Villalvazo def. Caride (DSU) 6-1, 5-0 (Ret.), and edged Montevallo's Eva Dirr 6-4, 6-2 to earn a spot in Saturday's singles round of 32.
