MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Alessia Cappai of the Auburn University at Montgomery volleyball team was named Warhawk of the Week after her stellar performance this past weekend helping the Warhawks go 2-0 at Valdosta State University and a home win against University of West Georgia.
Cappai finished her amazing weekend with a total of 31 kills, 4 aces, and 5 blocks from both games.
Cappai is currently sixth in the Gulf South Conference in kills averaging 2.84 per set and leading her team in that category having tallied 227 this season.
Cappai had 15 kills in the 3-0 victory at Valdosta State and followed it up her incredible performance with 16 kills in the 3-2 victory over West Georgia. She is fourth in the GSC in points with 281.
The Warhawks return to the court Tuesday, October 31 in a GSC matchup against University of West Alabama at 6 p.m. for Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
