MONTEVALLO, Ala. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery women's cross country team is ready to run in the 2023 NCAA Division II South Regional in Montevallo, Alabama on Saturday, November 4 at 8 a.m. at the Montevallo Cross Country Course.

WOMEN'S NOTES
- Freshman Adley Burkes burst onto the scene this season, as she has finished in the scoring five for the Warhawks for the fifth race in a row to open up her collegiate career.
- Kenlie Nelson has continued to have a successful season as she finished the GSC Championships with the fifth fastest 5K time in school history at 18:50.1. She placed 22nd.
- The Warhawks saw all five of their scoring runners race a sub-20 minute 5K time in the conference championships, which marks the third time they have accomplished that as a program.
- AUM finished sixth overall at the Jacksonville State University Foothills Invitational to open the season, which marked the team's fourth top-six performance as a squad in the last three seasons.
FOUR ON THE FIELD
- 22 teams will compete in the regional, with two teams ranked in the top 25 coaches' poll and all 10 teams in South Region Poll will be racing.
- The defending South Region champions and GSC Champions Lee University looks to defend its crown.
- Lee's women's team has also been on a winning streak, securing the last seven GSC Championship races, second-most by program in GSC history.
- Aria Hawkins has paced Lee University to a strong 2023 season again after she placed second at the 2022 South Regional Championships.
