ALBANY, Ga. -- Kicking off a four-game weekend road trip, and a stretch of five games in seven days, the Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team fell 7-0 to Albany State University at the West Campus Baseball Field on Thursday afternoon.
Golden Rams pitcher Jeremiah Reddell (1-0) spun a gem for ASU as he logged six shutout innings and earned the win. He allowed four hits and one walk with three strikeouts.Â

HIGHLIGHTS
- Jackson Ceman was hit by a pitch to open the game, but the Albany State starter Reddell set the Warhawks down in order to close the top of the first.
- A two-run homer and a bases-loaded walk put ASU on top 3-0 heading to the second frame.
- The Golden Rams added a sacrifice fly and another bases-loaded walk to make it 5-0 after three innings.
- ASU tacked on two more sixth-inning runs on an error and a hit batsman to extend the lead to 7-0.
- Jarren Wright and Kasey Clark singled in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, but the Warhawks were unable to crack the scoreboard.
ON THE MOUND
- Will Collins drew the start and worked 2.2 innings on the mound. The Golden Rams were able to get to Collins for five runs, all earned, on three hits and three walks.Â
- Levi Clark worked 2.0 innings of scoreless relief with three walks and two strikeouts.
- In his first action of the season on the mound, Tommy Vickers induced a ground ball double play to get out of the sixth inning.Â
- True freshman Lucas Baggett worked around an error and pitched a scoreless seventh with three flyouts to center field.
- Mason Elmore walked a man in the eighth inning but kept the Golden Rams off the scoreboard.
NOTABLES
- Reddell, a preseason All-SIAC selection, picked up his first win of the season for Albany State.Â
- Clark notched his third appearance of the season and tied his season-high for innings worked out of the bullpen for the Warhawks.
- AUM mustered just five total hits on the day, while Wright was 2-for-4 in the game as the only Warhawk with multiple hits.
