BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The AUM men's soccer team had four players earn All-Conference awards from the Gulf South Conference on Thursday.
Benjamin Hoffman was named to the first team, while
William Blake,
Adam Hanson and
Logan Roach were second team honorees.
Hoffman was one of the top players in the league, scoring eight goals (6th in GSC) and four game-winning goals (2nd in GSC). The rookie from Berlin, Germany was also the GSC freshman leader in goals and game winners.
Blake started between the pipes 11 times while splitting time in goal for the first half of the season. The graduate student from Mobile, Alabama is tied for first in the league with five shutouts while working with one of the best back lines in the GSC for a 1.04 goals-against average. He was a first-team all-GSC selection last year and is just the third 2-time conference winner since joining the GSC in 2017.
Hanson was a starter in all 16 games and has two goals, three assists and a pair of game-winning goals from his midfield spot. The senior is third on the team with 23 shots and 10 shots on goal. This is the second conference honor for the Woodbridge, England product after earning Second Team honors which attending the University of Northwest Ohio.
Roach has been one of the more active players on the field for the Warhawks, started all 16 games in the backfield. He has five assists, one goal and one game-winning goal. The graduate student from Cardiff, Wales, he was a 2-time GSC Defender of the Week in 2024.
The four selections are the most for the Warhawks since five players were honored in 2021.
