CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team mustered just four combined runs between both games of a doubleheader as the Warhawks dropped a Gulf South Conference twin bill at 25th-ranked Lee University.

GM 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- A second-inning sacrifice fly off the bat of Cole McWhorter put the visitors up 1-0 after two frames.
- In the third inning, Lee bounced a two-RBI single through the right side as Lee took a 2-1 lead.
- The Flames struck for five runs in the seventh thanks to a bases-loaded walk and a grand slam as the home team took game one.
GM 1 ON THE MOUND
- Payte Williams (1-3) allowed five earned runs and walked five in 6.2 innings pitched. He also added a pair of strikeouts.
- Grant Hickman allowed a pair of runs in 0.1 innings of relief.
- Michael Myers tossed a 1-2-3 eighth inning and added one strikeout.
GM 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- Lee went up 1-0 early thanks to a fielder's choice in the first inning.
- A solo home run and an RBI single helped the Flames build a 3-0 lead in the second.
- Cooper Doughman clubbed a two-run home run to make it a one-run contest in the top of the sixth.
- Lee got a run back thanks to a home run in the sixth and took a 4-2 lead into the seventh.
- After Ashton Thomas reached on a pinch-hit double and Kasey Clark walked, Doughman singled to bring him home to keep the Warhawks alive with two outs.
- Zach Dew reached base on an infield single, but AUM was unable to mount the comeback as
GM 2 ON THE MOUND
- Luke Turner (1-2) logged six innings and yielded four runs on eight hits. He did not allow a walk and struck out four Lee hitters.
NOTABLES
- AUM dropped only its second series of the season, and first in conference play.
- Turner did not issue a walk for the third consecutive start. He has issued just four walks in 37.1 innings this season.
- Dew tallied four hits and a double between both games of the day.
- Doughman hit his fifth home run of the season, tying Clark for the team lead in that category.
