LAKELAND, Fla. -- Auburn University at Montgomery baseball player
Zach Dew earned Second Team All-South Region honors as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
Dew earned the second All-Region honor of his Warhawk career after being named to the D2CCA All-South Region Second Team in 2022.
A Sylacauga, Alabama native, Dew is hitting .337 for the Warhawks with nine home runs, 14 doubles, and 40 RBIs. He has collected 67 hits, scored 46 runs, drawn 21 walks, and stolen four bases. Dew ranked in a tie for sixth in the GSC in doubles and leads the team in doubles and home runs.
He has racked up 18 games with multiple hits this season and has 10 multi-RBI games for the orange and black. For his career, Dew has amassed 31 doubles, 15 home runs, 185 hits, and has driven home 102 runs.
Dew and the Warhawks, the no. 5 seed in the NCAA South Region tournament, take on No. 4 seed Lee University on Thursday, May 16 at 4 p.m. CT at the University of Tampa baseball field.
